The Mega Millions jackpot has reached a record-breaking $1.55 billion.
This makes it the largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history.
The previous record was a $1.586 billion Powerball jackpot in 2016.
The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302.5 million.
The next drawing will take place on Tuesday, October 23rd.
If there is no winner, the jackpot will continue to grow.
The cash option for the $1.55 billion jackpot is $904 million.
The jackpot has been growing since July 24th.
The Mega Millions lottery is played in 44 states, as well as Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
