Connecticut Lottery's July $1M Powerball jackpot
Connecticut lottery winners who have been waiting to collect their prizes due to the COVID-19 pandemic will finally be able to do so in July 2023.
The delay in prize collection was due to the pandemic-related closure of the lottery's headquarters in Rocky Hill.
The headquarters reopened in June 2021, but the lottery has a backlog of winners to process.
The lottery has been processing claims in the order they were received, with priority given to those with larger prizes.
The lottery has also been offering limited in-person prize claims by appointment only.
Winners have until 180 days after the drawing to claim their prize, so some winners may have already missed their deadline.
The lottery advises winners to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they can claim their prize.
