Two $6 million Mega Millions tickets from the 28 July drawing were validated by the Pennsylvania Lottery.
- The Mega Millions jackpot is getting close to $1 billion before Friday’s drawing.
One winning ticket was sold for $5 million in Chester County, while another won $1 million in McKean County.
The Thorndale Inn at 430 Bondsville Road in Downingtown, Chester County, sold the winning Mega Millions with Megaplier ticket worth $5 million, earning the establishment a bonus of $10,000.
Smethport, located at 18265 Route 6 in Smethport, McKean County, sold the $1 million Mega Millions winning ticket and received a $5,000 bonus for doing so.
The Mega Millions with Megaplier winning ticket, worth $5 million, matched the first five white balls drawn (5-10-28-52-63) but missed the last yellow Mega Ball (18).
- A $3 million scratch-off ticket was purchased at a Sheetz in Pennsylvania.
All five white balls were on the winning Mega Millions ticket, which is worth $1 million.
The last jackpot run in Pennsylvania brought in over $63.4 million in revenue, resulting in a profit of over $25.4 million for the state’s senior citizens.
At an estimated $1.05 billion ($527.9 million cash value), the current Mega Millions jackpot is the fourth-largest in the game’s history and the seventh-largest in the United States. After an April 18th winner in New York state, the jackpot has continued to grow.
On August 1st, there will be another Mega Millions drawing.
